As a Licensed and Board-Certified, DBT-Trained counselor, and, more aptly, as a human being, I understand pain in life. I also know that we humans have an amazing capacity to both tolerate and be at ease in the tensions in life, no matter what arises in Life, once we learn how. Utilizing evidenced-based practices with timeless principles of mind/body/spirit, I support individuals and couples with a warm-hearted presence into the extraordinary process of embracing and responding to life with clarity, internally and externally.
In mental health counseling, a collaborative process that accesses our ever-present, collective wisdom, I meet with people who experience pain associated with trauma events and PTSD, stress/anxiety, depression, guilt, shame and relationship difficulties. I also specialize in harm-reduction and working with "addictive" behaviors, which can be defined as any behavior (actions, thoughts, emotions) that one seems unable to stop no matter the efforts or consequences related to the behavior that leads to suffering pain and unwanted emotions. Through the arts of counseling and dance, I delight in exploring with others how to embrace All of life, moment by moment, from the vibrant Consciousness that embraces All.
